1. Maybelline Rebel Bloom Lipstick (Coral Burst and Rose Rush): These are a part of Maybelline's new spring collection (Maybelline) consisting of bright and pastel shades. The colors were gorgeous. I loved how they flattered my skin tone. Actually, I only bought these 2 because they were the best shades for my skin tone (the others were too light). And they are in between share and opaque but they're buildable. The problem is that it is extremely drying. Even after I exfoliate and moisturize. I have Maybelline's Touch of Spice (A part of Maybelline's Color Sensational Creamy Matte collection) and even that one is not as drying! I now understand what it means to have lipstick tugging on your skin and feeling uncomfortable. It was not pretty to see my lips flaking throughout the day.
2. Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer: I've had this since July 2014 and it has not served me well. It is medium coverage and makes my skin even and flawless, from a far. That's the problem. It exaggerates my pores when you get closer to my face. I've put primer before applying. I moisturize prior and even then it clings to these dry patches I didn't know I had. I understand that it's winter and skin tends to be dry but it is not forgiving in that area. Even Cecilio said I have more bumps than usual when I was wearing this. And I apologize for how dirty the tube looks in the picture, but I guess I blame the design of the cap. It's so small so it's easy for it to get all over the place. For high-end Western BB cream, I prefer the Smashbox Camera BB Cream (which I am 95% out of). I guess I feel compelled to finish this product since I'm about 75% done with this and am about to hit pan (or tube).
3. Too Faced La Creme Lipstick (Spice Spice Baby): I have been eyeing this lipstick. I even tested it at Ulta and liked how it looked...there. But when I ordered it, I was sorely disappointed. It's almost the same color as my lips and it barely shows up. It shows up fairly dark on my arm when I swatched it. It shows up better on lighter skin tones. I should have listened to my gut and bought the "Bumbelberry" shade since it's darker. But what I love about this lipsticks are 2 things: the packaging (it's gold and feels luxurious; the Revlon lip butters are the dupes but the packaging is not as nice) and the fact that it is super moisturizing. It's one of the most moisturizing lipsticks I've ever tried. Someday I'll possibly get another shade.
4. Too Faced Amazing Face Powder Foundation: I don't find myself reaching for this anymore. It makes my pores larger and it breaks me out. I much prefer the MAC Studio Fix Powder because that makes me look flawless (making my pores smaller, and provided I moisturize and prime).
5. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick (Lovelight): I didn't put this in my previous regret purchases post because I forgot about it. I guess that's how much I don't particularly care too much for this shade. Too light for me and also hardly shows up on my lips. Besides, I mostly buy Urban Decay's eye products. I know many people love the lipsticks but they're not for me personally.
