REVIEW: MAC AMPLIFIED CREMESHEEN LIPSTICK IN 'CHATTERBOX'

Described by MAC as a 'bright red-pink' (although we all raise an eyebrow at MAC descriptions, don't we?), 'Chatterbox' is the latest lipstick in my ever expanding collection of lip products and my second MAC purchase ever.
My first ever MAC purchase was a set featuring the lipstick 'Ravishing', a colour I rarely touch because it's just not very 'me', so I knew that my second lipstick would have to be something really special. On a recent trip to Birmingham with Clare we visited the MAC Pro store and she helped me to pick out 'Chatterbox' (if there is anyone that knows about MAC it's Clare). Although the brand has recently hiked their prices, much to their loyal customers' dismay, as a treat for yourself it's a price I think is worth paying. You're paying for the quality when it comes to MAC and not just the fancy packaging. To me 'Chatterbox' is a bright but wearable, every day medium-pink with a slightly cool blue undertone.
As with all of the Amplified range the pigmentation is great and the formula is really creamy which makes it less drying than a matte finish. The longevity is fairly average for a lipstick - it needs about 4 hours before it needs reapplying but I find that at least this wears evenly and I'm not left with loads of product hanging around the edges of my mouth.Is this the start of a MAC lipstick collection? Probably not. I don't think my bank balance will allow it. I know I'll get a lot of use out this colour though - and it won't be long before I have to replace it...
