My post about Lyme Museum is pending but I thought I'd share a few delights from the last couple of days. Jersey has yet to go into lockdown. At the moment we only have 16 cases and they are only expecting us to socially isolate. Unlike our sister isle Guernsey, who went into lockdown last night. Life as a retired person goes on much as normal, apart from the volunteering. Trips to the supermarket are getting more bizarre by the day. Only fifteen allowed in to our local coop at anyone time. I'm enjoying the little chats with total strangers while we wait outside. Two metres apart of course.
Exercise continues and the skies like many have been blue. Not a con trail in sight. The beaches are much fuller than usual for March. Lots of parents walking with their children. Yesterday we headed for a favourite beach at Beauport. Children were lapping up the sunshine, doing science out in the fresh air. Walking along the coast the views were far reaching. A Peaock butterfly came out to play and basked from time to time on the warm sand. Thoughts of summer were in my head.
I'll leave you with a short video of the tide coming in. Hopefully it will send you calm thoughts in this stressful time. Take care. I'll be back soon. Barbara xxx
