Okay. So, why not? I have decided to paint up a piece for the league painting competition. I used to be an excellent painter back when my eyes were sharper and my hands didn't shake. I accept this as a personal challenge to do my best and have no expectations of winning. There are some very talented painters in this league.
I am going to do a Legion of Everblight light warbeast called a Raek. I rummaged through my hobby boxes to gather up ideas on creating a mini diorama. Coming across an old pack of 28mm Teutonic Knight casualty figures the idea was born. I plan on having the Raek standing atop the prone knight ready for the kill. I think I'll call it "Last Breath".
I finished the knight and have cleaned, trimmed and primed the Raek. I still have to put the final touches on the landscaping but that will wait until I am ready to assemble the pieces together. Here is where I am so far:
I am hoping the Dullcote does the same to this model as it did to Absylonia and mute the shading. I painted it with that in mind.
Hopefully the Raek's paw will line up to the Teuton's head as it did when I test fit. I want it to look like the Raek is pulling back the knight's head for the first tasty bite!
Take your last breath of life, Teuton.
Happy Gaming!
